About the Speakers:
Abigail O'Connor, Esq.
Abigail E. O’Connor is a trusts and estates attorney based in Anchorage, Alaska. Her specific practice areas include estate planning, estate, and gift tax strategic planning, Alaska trusts for both Alaskans and non-Alaskans, representation of trustees and beneficiaries, estate administration, and family business succession planning. Abigail is licensed in Alaska and Florida. Abigail is a Director of the Anchorage Estate Planning Council, a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning and Probate Law Section of the Alaska Bar Association, and Vice President of Alaska Trust & Estate Professionals. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and has an AV Rating by Martindale Hubbell.
Matthew Blattmachr, CFP
Matthew Blattmachr is president and chief executive officer of Peak Trust Company, formerly Alaska Trust Company, based in Anchorage, Alaska. Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration as well as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Fiduciary & Investment Risk Management Specialist (CFIRS) designations. Matthew has written and co-authored numerous articles related to trusts and estate planning in Alaska for various publications including Family Office Magazine and Trusts & Estates Magazine. In the Anchorage community, Matthew is active in a number of professional associations, public policy groups, and non-profits. Matthew previously served as Chair of the Anchorage Senior Activity Center Endowment Fund Board of Trustees, President of the Anchorage Estate Planning Council, and currently serves as President of Alaska Trust & Estate Professionals (ATEP).
